UNISON’s Scottish Local Government Committee met on Thursday 19th August 2021 to discuss the revised derisory offer from COSLA (Convention of Scottish Local Authorities).
The original offer was REJECTED by UNISON Members and the recent attempt by the Employers to circumvent your legitimate right to pursue an improved offer, equates to an additional 3p p/h (before tax) for those earning less than £25k and nothing for the remaining 45% of the workforce (see attached letter).
UNISON has REJECTED the revised derisory offer and will serve an “intention to ballot” today across Scottish Councils (see attached poster).
Further information will be issued in due course providing details of those in scope for action.
UNISON – The biggest trade union and the only one to move to action.
